I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and Certified Cognitive Therapist with The Academy of Cognitive Therapy. My history of working in the behavioral health field includes working with individuals, families and groups in mental health agencies, schools, hospitals and private practice settings. I have had formal training in several different types of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I provide services for individuals and families with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, anger management, obsessive-compulsive disorder and issues with body image. My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to the needs of the individual. My goal as a therapist is to build strong, supportive therapeutic relationships, while creating an environment where clients can feel comfortable and understood. I believe in my client's abilities to gain skills and insight to aid in positive change and growth, leading to enhanced quality of life.
